The Revised Common Lectionary is a three-year cycle of weekly Bible readings centered around the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Widely adopted by a number of church bodies as well as individual congregations, the shared scripture texts are read on the same Sunday throughout the United States and internationally.

The exhibit highlights the development by the Vanderbilt Divinity Library of the Revised Common Lectionary website. Established in 1996, it has become an authoritative resource for the RCL, serving over 1,000,000 users in the last year. 

The Revised Common Lectionary website offers many tools for ministry and for personal reflection.  Daily readings, prayers, artwork integrated with readings, and slideshows are widely used. Through these interwoven aspects of Christian spirituality, the Divinity Library celebrates diversity in ethnicity, practice, and social location.
